In this episode of the Flash Forward podcast, Rose Eveleth takes us to a future generated by an algorithm. I’m not usually impressed by these Dadaist approaches to producing new art through random generation, but for “The Witch Who Came From Mars,” Rose used the same neural network that was used to create Sunspring (below), a short film pieced together by an algorithm from hours of scifi movies, to produce her own forecast. Her guests’ interpretations of piece are just as interesting as the thing itself. Check it out.
